A suicide car bomber killed 13 American troops in the Afghan capital Kabul on Saturday, the deadliest single ground attack against the NATO-led force in 10 years of war in Afghanistan.
A Message to Independent Journalists, Bloggers, and Supporters of OccupyWallStreet
This will be short, but sweet and straight to the point. Like the media has portrayed the Middle Eastern people as terrorists for years now, ignored all other violence, and created hate, prejudice, and racism within countries, the same will follow these protests if there is no change in attitude towards the police force.
Mainstream media is exemplifying all supporters of Occupy Wall Street as “drugged up, jobless, hippie parasites that only know politics and protests as much as the dollar bill and peace signs.” They are generalizing us and creating prejudice instantly.
Because a few policemen around the country did things that were against their own code, do not generalize. Do not pass the phrases “Fuck the police” and “pig scum” around like gossip in high school. Do not degrade the police force for who they are as people. You cannot put every policeman into a group and tell the world they are all horrible and violent human beings because we all know that isn’t true. Every police force of every country all around the world is part of the 99% and at some point they will realize that the real enemy is not the protesters. You cannot degrade the WHOLE police force over a few rash actions, horrible at that…because if you do, you are doing exactly what the mainstream media is doing to you.
DO NOT STOOP DOWN TO GENERALIZATION LIKE THE MEDIA HAS.
